Super simple Super Bowl snacks – even after game day
While my cooking ventures aren’t always the most successful – I tend to set off our smoke detector quite a bit – cocktail weenies are generally a foolproof party favorite. And since they’re already cooked all you really have to do is heat your mini hotdogs and revel in self-confidence.
This year I adapted an old recipe from a family friend into something new to share with friends at a few different parties – but these easy favorites are perfect any time, from movie night to your next basketball viewing party.
You’ll need:
- 2 pkgs Lit’l Smokies sausages [I used smoked sausage - feel free to choose any type you prefer]
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp soy sauce
Combine all ingredients in a pot and simmer. Serve warm.
Or, for the less ambitious college cook, try this easy finger food favorite. You’ll need:
- 1 pkg. Lit’l Smokies sausages
- 2 tubes Pillsbury crescent roll dough
Simply roll crescent rolls around sausages (I divided each triangle of dough into thirds) and bake at 375° for 5-10 minutes.
